Take an example of the LM Guide SHS series for selecting a part.

From the tree menu of the database window, double-click "LM Guide" → "LM Guide SHS," and then double-click "Flanged, Heavy Load Type Model SHS-C" → "3D."

Note: "Simplified 3D" is the function to generate data of a simplified part.

A dialog box as shown above is displayed. By selecting relevant items and clicking the "Preview update" button, you can visually check the shape.

  • For the items, make entries in order from the top.
  • Selecting one item will take some time before you can select the next item.
  • Items for pulldown input must be selected from the pull-down menus. For items concering numerial entries such as LM rail length and LM block position, be sure to press the Enter key after inputting numerical values.
  • When entries have been made for all items, clicking the "OK" button creates CAD data which will then be displayed on the screen.
    Note: Depending on the specifications of your PC and the entered values, it may take a few minutes until data appears on the screen.

Selecting a Part: photo 3 When a diagram appears on the screen, you can save the CAD data on your PC.
From the pull-down menu of File select "Save as," or from the toolbar select Save, and save the file in a format such as DXF, DWG, SAT, STEP or IGES.
Also, from the toolbar selectCAD insertto directly import the displayed part into the CAD software.
