THK's Type SRS-N uses a longer block and an increased load rating and moment capacity compared to the company's successful Type SRS LM guide. The block body uses resin molding for reduced weight.
Type SRS-N block lengths start from size 9 to 15. This is an increase in block length from the Type SRS LM guide, where blocks range from 30.8 mm to 55.5 mm. The dynamic load rating for the Type SRS-N starts at 3.48 C (kN) (2.69 for the Type SRS), while static load ratings start at 3.34 Co(kN) (2.31for the Type SRS LM guide).
Using patented THK Caged Technology, the Type SRS-N operates with smooth, quiet motion. THK Caged Ball LM Guide Technology uses a synthetic resin cage with a patented curvature that holds each ball and separates it from the next. The spaces between the rolling elements retain grease and act as a lubrication system for long term, maintenance-free operation. Other Caged Ball LM Guide Technology benefits of the Type SRS-N are increased speed and accuracy, decreased noise levels, low dust generation, and long life.
For mounting, the Type SRS-N is interchangeable with THK's Type RSR-N.
